One of the biggest projects in 2019 is now about to be completed. Asanoha Sashiko swatches of 26 stitchers together – become into one piece. Sashiko is simple, yet (therefore), it represents who she/he is. I wanted to mix those “who we are” – not about good or bad – into one piece of connected fabric. Keiko is doing a fantastic job to make it happen, expecting it by the end of January. ☆
Would anyone be interested to be part of a similar project in English? It doesn’t have to be in the US, but the shipping fee may be an issue. I will update the detail later on.

ワクワクしているご報告第一弾。30人の麻の葉、改め、「26人の麻の葉プロジェクト」。来週中に一つの作品として完成する予定です。完成への道のりを、ブログに纏めておりますので、もう少しお待ち頂ければ幸いです。ご参加頂いた方の気持ちを一枚に繋げられて……想いが溢れる作品になりそうです。

刺し子は孤独な作業です。でも、孤独な作業を楽しむことと、孤独を感じてしまうことは、全く違うと思っています。孤独を楽しみながら、且つ共有できる楽しみをも味わえる居場所があれば……というのが、僕の刺し子を通した願いです。一人だけど、でも、ひとりぼっちじゃない。矛盾と思われてしまうかも知れませんが、この作品をみて初めて「刺し子はアートかもしれない」と思っています。うん。主催者特権で完成図を見ております（笑）鳥肌ものです。全体像は少々お待ち下さい。東京のオフ会には必ず持っていきます。
