When I decided (& told my family & friends) that I will no longer purchase new clothing, I did Sashiko on the most favorite denim I had. I regularly wear this Denim pants, and after a few years, it got a whole around the leg bottom. No major wear and tear on the main part where I stitched. Sashiko indeed makes the fabric Strong (with appropriate stitching & thread).

I am(was) wondering what to do with this damage. Well… I will (did) make a Sashiko fabric, then stitch them together after all. In fact, that’s the only way to repair I am capable of 😀 This is how we (they) make Boro. ☆

もう1年以上は経ってると思う、全刺しのジーンズ。「ちょっとそこまで……」という以外の外出時には、ほぼ着用しているのですが、遂に足元にホツレが出てきました。ガンガン洗ってるけれど、本体はほぼ問題なし。愛猫が爪を立てた所の針目が立ってしまっているくらいです。この穴、放置して置くと悪化する一方なので対処をと思うのですが、どうしたら良いかなぁと(楽しく)悩んでおります。ま、当て布して刺し子するんですけどね(それしかできない)。新しく衣類を購入するのを辞める宣言をしてから3年。どこまで貫き通せるか楽しみです(頂き物や刺し子実験関連、下着等は例外にしております……流行に乗って買わないってだけです)。
