Happy New Year to Japan & Eastern country & Thank you for all of your support in

Happy New Year to Japan & Eastern country & Thank you for all of your support in 2019 to the rest of the world. First, I would like to thank everyone who keeps following this account regardless of my long (and sometimes heady) post. I hope you would continue in 2020. Next, I would like to thank those who took my workshops and kept stitching. @sharondenner, @na.na_45, @natsuki__ishihara, @carolinegreennyc, and some without Instagram account kept surprising me – that they can really do as I stitch Sashiko. It means that my teaching is valid and anyone can do the Sashiko we do. I started collaborating with some of them (I consider them the artisans), and I am very proud of them as well as myself – this is one way to share the Sashiko to the world. Lastly, I sincerely appreciate those who support me on Patreon. It changed my understanding of what I do – Sashiko. Thanks to the patrons there, I am still writing the stories about Sashiko. ☆
I will not change anything in 2020. I will remain as an idealist who believes in humanity. I understand people only listen to what they want to listen to in this individualism world. However, I would like to try to ask them to listen to what I would like to share. Slowly, but surely, the goal is to share the Sashiko we are passionate about. Family as a priority, the Sashiko comes based on the family – it is how it’s supposed to be. Thank you for everything in 2019, and I hope the same in 2020. ☆

Sashiko (or any hand-stitching) can be a powerful (psychological) remedy. I find many people enjoying the purpose of “relaxation” and “healing”. With the word Sashiko, while mending, they are probably mending themselves. I am happy that the Sashiko we have been practicing can contribute to our relief. ☆ Well, however,…

I appreciate all of your supportive comments. I do acknowledge there is a (silent) audience in front of me, and without you (them), I would have stopped sharing stories so long ago. I know you are there – therefore, I am here. However, unfortunately, the pain cannot be determined by…
