Ever since I moved to NYC, my main Sashiko is more like for “fun”. Keiko make her pieces for her own clients and exhibitions. I enjoy Sashiko stitching to learn, understand, investigate, and experiment in Sashiko stitching. Since there is no “goal” or “customer” to meet the satisfaction, I occasionally do something pretty stupid.

This denim, rePatched re Denim, is one of the “Oops” piece. I SHOULD HAVE numbered the parts and direction BEFORE I start enjoying Sashiko stitching and mending. Yes, at some points, I lost how to assemble the Denim. Lol. The Sashiko LIve Streaming on Instagram (& Youtube) is the place for me to share those “unedited” version of my challenges. It is smarter to share the beautiful result after editing them. However, my message is to enjoy the process, even if it is a mistake. I hope I am communicating my message throughout the Live. (The live is mainly in Japanese, however, I believe there is something you can learn by just watching with muting. I will of course try more lives in English.)

先日の、ひたすら運針だけをする配信で「黒歴史」として紹介した下着の補修。でもよく考えると、もうひとつ、真っ黒な歴史がございました。それがこちら。「行き当たりばっちり！」が「行き当たりガッカリ」となった作品でございます。完成しました〜と自信を持って皆様に紹介した数カ月後に、「あれ……？これ、あのデニムの一部じゃないか……？」となった作品。デニムを切り刻むという行為すら、今では「え〜……」と思うのですが、次回は（というか皆様は）しっかりと青写真を作って、各パーツに番号付けと上下の向きの印はしっかり残して、作品を作ってみて下さい。

まだ蓋をしているだけで、沢山の黒歴史がありそうです。でもね。それだけ、皆様と楽しい時間を過ごせているということで。配信始めて1年半。ここ1年ぐらいは、しっかり毎週2回配信しています（今晩は友達を迎えにNYCまで車で8時間往復なので、もしかしたらお休み頂くかもです……が、頑張ります！）
