A photo from my previous student (now friend) who took the Online Sashiko Class. She gave me a great feedback. I am so happy that she continue enjoying the Sashiko we happily shared with her. ☆
“Understanding Sashiko” can be challenging because we all have different language and background. Words sometimes create misunderstandings instead of harmony. However, “Feeling (how enjoyable) Sashiko” is probably easy – just practice what you can. Instead of words, the actual practice (hopefully with enjoying the rhythm) will bring you more joy in Sashiko stitching.

「国を超えると考え方も違う」とはよく言ったもので、まぁ、言葉で表現すればするほど誤解も生まれるし、面倒事は増えます。「針目みて学べ」と言った所で、インターネットがある現代だと、意図しない捉えられ方するリスクも有るわけで、今後もリスク覚悟で情報発信はしていきたいなぁと思うのです。

そんな時に、本当に嬉しい写真が。初のオンライン刺し子講座を受講下さった方の作品です。余計な質問一切なし。たぶん、何回、何十回と僕が作った2時間のビデオを見てくれたんだと思います。実際にライブで確認した際には、布に刺し子がビッシリで、追加のアドバイスなど必要も無いほどに楽しんでおられました。その方からの「今楽しんでいる刺し子」の写真が届いて、涙が出るほど嬉しいのです。この方の実績があるから、やっぱり自信になるんです。「誰でも（覚悟があれば）できるよ」って。本当に嬉しいなぁ。
