Spring is here. I feel like the Spring is so instantaneous in these days. It jumps from Winter (Cold) to Summer (Hot). I upcycled this jacket for my wife since she didn’t like the sleeve length (too short). It is too cold for winter and too hot to summer, so I only see her wearing it in limited time, but I like this simple upcycling idea: just adding the Sashiko fabric to the sleeves to make them longer.
☆
Sashiko is (was) originally an idea of making fabric stronger and repairing the fabric. However, there is no “answer” in what we would do with Sashiko. As long as we appreciate the fabric with respecting what we “already” have, we all enjoying one of the mindsets of Sashiko. Happy Spring, Happy Easter, and Happy Passover. ☆

The more I share about the Sashiko Story, the more I realize I have a lot more to offer. 20 hours of talking about Sashiko while stitching in FL. I worried if I would run out of topics to talk about. In reality, I feel I could have shared more…

Sashiko makes such beautiful remedies to garments that would not otherwise be worn. Blessed Holiday to you @sashi.co and to your families🐇🌷🐇
