Another great weekend with Sashiko Workshop in NYC. I enjoy meeting new “friends” who we share the similar passion. So fun & so peaceful. The photo is a friend who stopped by in between the workshops for sharing her Sashiko work. ☆
For practical purpose, I sometimes call participants “students”. However, after the workshop, I prefer thinking them as my friends who share the similar mindset & passion. So is other who I haven’t met yet but share the comments on SNS. Sashiko itself is pretty simple in terms of techniques. After sharing the basic and core, I strongly believe each individual can enjoy their own Sashiko, and I would learn from them. So friends, rather than “Sensei & Student“.

There is a good amount of wisdom to enjoy Sashiko more. That’s why we offer workshops. However, the key of Sashiko is to “not to judge (others, and especially yours)”. Enjoy the dialogue among, needle, thread, fabric, and you.

I hope I can come back to NYC after summer. If you don’t mind traveling to PA (17837), I may be able to arrange the workshop (private or a group). If you are interested, please DM me for the NYC workshop or private one so I can keep your name in the list and let you know once we figure something out. The online class is available, and I will send out another invitation within a few days for those who signed up the form. Thank you!
