When we make a blanket with Boro-inspired patchworks, a usage as the table cloth

atsushijp, 2019年4月14日

When we make a blanket with Boro-inspired patchworks, a usage as the table cloth isn’t the first thing to come to the mind. However, since we carefully wash the each swatches, it is also good to be used on the table. With so fancy & well-designed furnitures in our friends’ house, this Boro blanket looks very good. Another day with the Workshop. Very exciting. ☆

How do you describe the Japanese culture (people)? “Hard-working”, “Polite”, “shy”, “Collectivism”… these words are reasonable to understand. However, please know that the descriptions can be the projections from non-Japanese culture – the words do not describe not the whole picture (essence) of Japanese culture/people. Please learn “why” the Japanese…

Many say that what they like about Sashiko is the pattern & design. It is true that the pattern & design are very important aspects of Sashiko. However, Sashiko is more than “Pattern/Design” as I also say [Sashiko is more than just technique]. ☆ In one Live Stream, I complained…
