Follow-up video of Boro, back and front side of the Jacket. Some of us (including myself) feel beauty on the patchworks, but traditionally (like Keiko) we hide those patches inside. This is the Boro jacket I wear in ordinary days to recreate the “routine” that the Japanese made Boro in. When I wear this jacket, it gets damaged over time. Then, I do Sashiko to patch & mend. I believe it is how the Japanese created so beautiful Boro in display.

日本語のSNSでこの襤褸のジャケットの動画を紹介したことがなかった気がするのですが、これ、僕の襤褸ジャケットです（数少ない非売品）。2013年末に移住し、2015年に米国での刺し子ワークショップを夢見た際に、恵子さんが「襤褸を紹介するには作るのが一番」とゼロから作ってくれたものです。当時は恵子さんには今では信じられないくらい暇な時間がありました（笑）。このジャケットを受け取ってからは、僕が機会がある度に着て、少しホツレたりしたら自分で直す……という、昔の日本人が襤褸を作ったであろうプロセスを進めています（毎日外で着てる訳じゃないので、進行は遅いけど）。とんでもなく温かいジャケットです。夏は着られません。昔の日本人に思いを重ねながら、誰か次に受け取ってくれる人を思って襤褸を楽しんでいます。
