[caution to sound] I uploaded an advertisement of video to introduce the Sashiko

atsushijp, 2019年4月2日

[caution to sound] I uploaded an advertisement of video to introduce the Sashiko Stitching Workshop (Core & Basic) in NYC for 2019 to our Youtube Channel – Sashi.Co Channel. I am writing another article “why I want you to take the workshop with us (including Online Sashiko Class)”, but I am confident that I can offer the “eye-opening” experience in 3+α hours for your Sashiko project after sharing this with more than 100 people in last 2 years.
☆
We have a few seats left. If you find out that the workshop is sold out, or this Spring isn’t a good time for you, please let me know that you are interested (with Email Address) so I can add you to the list for the future workshop. I will notify you before this kind of advertisement to the public. I understand that NYC is too far for some of you. We offer the Online Sashiko Class as the alternative. Please check the upcyclestitches.com for more information (link from the profile will lead you to the page, either in-person workshop or Online Class, you would like check). Hope to meet you in NYC.

Traditional Shippou Pattern with a bit of improvisation of adding more circles, then completed as the Jackets. The Japanese prayed for the better life with the geometric pattern. For Shippou (七宝), the character means Seven Treasure, which I believe they prayed for the wealth for their family back in Japan….

For me, “Acceptance (To Accept)” is one way to explain what “Japanese (Culture)” is. Naturally, it requires us to have a proper understanding & application of “Acceptance” to understand what Sashiko is. “Acceptance” is rather easy for us (Japanese) as it has been a part of our lives. However, in…

I consider this account as a platform to “educate us” via sharing our Sashiko Story. “Who to educate” is not only the readers who want to learn Sashiko, but it also is “me and others in pain” who may need to learn how to speak up. Many advise me that…
