I shared a process of cutting thread, so called “Itokiri”, in the live-streaming today. Sashiko is a form of stitching, but the Itokiri is also very important part of the Sashiko project, especially when we try to make both side as the finished side.

I uploaded a video introducing how to use a thread clipper (or a grip scissor). It is quite simple process. Just cutting the thread leftover on the stitches, yet so deep to reach to the mastery. ☆
久々に糸切りの配信を後半に行いました。火曜日。日本時間の夜11時半。糸切りに集中して口数が少ない僕と、糸切りのハサミの音は、睡眠誘導配信だったかもしれません(笑)「刺すこと」がメインとして紹介される刺し子ですが、糸切りも大切な過程の一つ。作業そのものはシンプルで簡単なのですが、でもやっぱり奥深いものだなぁとも思っています。
