Thank you for all of the comments. I read each one of them. I try my best to reply them. Thank you. ☆
I am writing an article about my Live Streaming. The goal of Live streaming is to share my “Unedited” Sashiko to the world. It is also my time to enjoy Sashiko, so I don’t plan to teach things there. (Form of teaching wasn’t popular method in Japan by the way). I speak in Japanese most of the time on Instagram simply because it is easier for me. I (Atsushi) make myself available on Wed at 9pm (EST) on Youtube to talk to you with the Live Sashiko stitching.
☆
One of my friends, who I respect, says “One’s action (word) may be very limited to change the world, but it doesn’t mean that the action is completely powerless”. In order to have a life, we sometimes have to give up on something. I’ve done that. I am here after compromising things. However, when we care each other in our reach of power, we may be able to contribute to the better world. It is the reason I do Sashiko now after long time of feeling my life was cursed by Sashiko (& the family I was born in – I respect my parents, just the environment was unique). Sashiko taught me it was me who twisted the real. As you know, now, I enjoy Sashiko a lot. “Hate” and “Caring” can co-exist. Hate isn’t the antonym of Love, the Ignorant is. Just don’t give up on things we value, so one day, the world will fit us. ☆

People say, “You can enjoy Sashiko as you wish”. Using a thimble or no thimble.

People say, “You can enjoy Sashiko as you wish”. Using a thimble or no thimble. A knot or no knots. I agree with them we all have options to choose from. Some of Sashiko in Japan use a thimble, the other Sashiko don’t. ☆ The Sashiko we practice has stories…

Keiko in Tokyo.

Keiko in Tokyo. She enjoyed the metropolitan Tokyo visiting some galleries. We hope to show our Sashiko art more in public 2018. Look at her. A boro Jacket in Tokyo. Doesn’t it look so cool? 2017-12-05 12:32:04 Source

“I am the past. You are the future”. ☆

“I am the past. You are the future”. ☆ In while workshop, when I talk to some quilters, this phrase came out naturally. I am the past. You are the future. I do NOT mean that I am old-dated or unimportant. The past is the foundation of the future. As…

Yes! Me too, accepting the conditions of my life, instead of fighting them, has been a pathway from suffering to freedom. I agree with you completely, it is my experience too, The world always fits me in, if I accept reality as it is without trying to change it, `twisting the real ‘ like you say, it has taken me sooo long to learn this too. The practice of zen is teaching me. I love this teaching from zen master Dogen: `Penetrate into one thing, and the entire world opens up.’ Zen is the simple acts of living, giving up the self, moment to moment, like sashiko, stitch by stitch. Thank you xox

I feel that I can perhaps learn very much from simply watching you stitch. Thank you for posting the video(s).

@c.c.jennifer I am writing the article about this topic 😀 Yes, you can very much learn from simply watching me stitching. At least, that’s how I learned everything I teach. The workshop is to provide the concentration of what I have learned. Instead of 10 years, it requires a month or so. That is a only difference, and therefore I broadcast unedit version of me stitching.

@soft_rope I mentioned about Zen a bit. I am learning from Zen practitioners like you. Zen as act of living can ease a lot of suffering, and it is one of the messages I would like to share 😀 Thank you!
