This may sound a bit strange, but we have some policies based on our concept of “There may be something more important than profit (and capital)” One of them is about me preparing the package with adding my “Happy thoughts” when I have “a grateful opportunity to send a package to a customer.” One day when I was running around like a guinea pig, a friend advised me that I should “automate the process” by outsourcing what I do. It destroys the concept as long as the person who prepare the package understand what I believe.
☆
As I introduced the concept of Animism in the website, I believe everyone has a power to add a “Qi (Reiki, Energy)” into anything. I do that everytime I make a package. Until the day I find someone who can do the same thing, I will be the one who prepare the package. It is my tiny micro step to influence the world to the positive way, I believe 😀
☆
However… I know that there is a strong need in the market to be quick and efficient. I sometimes demand that, too. I am not going to deny the needs in the market. I respect my concept in the reach of my activity, but when we need to be quick, I should provide the solution for that. So, I have Amazon storefront for the Prime Shipping. I haven’t lost my mind (yet). You may purchase our items from either way, our website(& Etsy) or Amazon. What I want to say here is that you may feel “a bit different (in a good way)” when you order from our website. I don’t guarantee that, but if you are sensitive, you may feel the difference. ☆

I think (some) Boro is beautiful, but I am not a big fan of Boro in general. A reason I do not like Boro so much is that the value of Boro is very “personal”. In other words, the true value of Boro rather be defined by “Who makes it…

Today, 10/16, is the anniversary of my father’s decease. Everything changed on today in 5 years ago, and with many miracles, I am here with Sashiko again. Every year around this anniversary, I realize that I look like him more and more. I wish I could do Sashiko stitching with…

“Sashiko described in English isn’t wrong, but it is insufficient”. My Sashiko Stories in English are for fulfilling the “missing pieces” of this. There is an example of this “Western Development/Simplification” within the Japanese Word. It is Reiki. Reiki (靈氣) is a Japanese form of alternative medicine called energy healing….

I work at a shoe store and one of my favorite tasks is packaging up our customers’ mail orders: tidying the shoes and their boxes, adding small gifts (candy, stickers, shoe horns), and writing a note to the buyer congratulating them on their excellent taste. If I’m sad or annoyed, this task will always improve my mood. So I really appreciate your concept of “grateful opportunity”. Thank you for sharing this!
