[The video is “Double-Speed”] – I face to myself & me stitching to create the online Sashiko workshop. It will be ready in March. I already uploaded 2 sections of the workshop (50% done, I would say). ☆
I filmed about 10 hours of my stitching. I cannot watch all 10 hours, yet I cannot make a video without checking the video… so, I check the video with double-speed. It is almost impossible to speed up like this, but the workshop will teach you how to speed up your running stitch. I believe, when I improve my skill to get rid of “unnecessary non-Sashiko movement,” I can stitch as good as this double speed video. I am still in a progress. The online workshop will be ready soon. I will send the invitation to those who sign up for the waiting list online. If you are interested in signing up you on the waiting list, please refer to this newsletter archive – https://mailchi.mp/e16329acbd23/sashiko-1419641.
☆
Now, I need 48 hours per day (that busy), but I am happy that I can spend my time for sharing Sashiko. It is thanks to those who support me directly & indirectly. Thank you. ☆

“Protecting/Creating a culture”. What does it mean to you? I am still learning, but there is one core concept that I keep in my mind, “Provide a fishing rod, not only the fishes”.  ☆ Let’s say, we want to create/protect a culture of “having fish” everyday. A daily habit (of…

Design & Geometric patterns are important aspects in Sashiko. Sashiko/Boro isn’t really a word for mending itself, the action of mending is important in Sashiko. For me, Sashiko isn’t “Zen”-lik muche, but I understand how Western people find the similarity. Because I do not offer a specific definition with my…

I wish I could simplify my stories into a word. Then, I can probably “market” the Sashiko better. However, “marketing“ isn’t my goal. I share the significance of Sashiko – which is not yet introduced in English. A series of stories going on and on. ☆ “Marketing” is sophisticated human-behavior…
