I innocently called us a due of my mother and her son (me). SashiCo is a group of Sashiko artisans lead by Keiko and Atsushi. So, the description of due is kind of accurate yet sounds funny to me.

Keiko is a true artisan. She enjoys her creation and she always feel satisfied when her Sashiko piece exceed customer’s expectation. At the same time, she isn’t very good at promoting herself. Atsushi (I) is(was) more business man type. I focus on Sashiko’s Continuity and Reproducibility. Art and Craft. Artisan and Business person. It is challanging balane these 2 concept by oneself. It was very difficult when I was working for the family company, to balance ‘business” and many artisans. ☆
So, a Sashiko duo sounds kind of good 😀 Our goal is to introduce Sashiko through many ways possible.

前回の投稿で、「刺し子デュオ」って英語で書いて、一人で笑って。恵子さんと俺で、確かにデュオなのだけど、なんか笑えてきて一人で笑ってました。Sashi.Coには関わってくれる人が沢山いるので、決して二人だけのものではないのですが、でも主になってるのは二人で、そういう見せ方もありなのかなと。

芸術と工芸。職人と商売。一人でバランスを取るのはとても大変です。だからこそ、この親子での刺し子という形がとても良い感じでバランスをとっているのかもしれません。恵子さんはもっと「お金を流動（動いて）」させて、沢山の人に恩返しがしたいと思っているし、僕は僕で刺し子の芸術性を模索してる。でも、得意な分野は真逆。本来、僕と恵子さんは水と油なのですよ（笑）いい感じに混ざってドレッシングになってるけれど。
