Sashiko Hitomezashi Jacket with non-vintage fabric, traditionally woven in Japan

atsushijp, 2018年12月17日

Sashiko Hitomezashi Jacket with non-vintage fabric, traditionally woven in Japan, to introduce Sashiko jacket which we can “recreate”. Vintage fabric is very one-of-a-kind, but we can make pretty similar Jacket with using the non-vintage fabric and support the traditional texitile craftmen in Japan. We take back-order (made to order jacket) for this type of Jacket. The fee depends on your preference, and it is about $3,000~$5,000, and it will take about a year. DM me if you are interested 😀

I spend a good Saturday morning typing in Japanese about the “Sashiko & the Japanese philosophy of praying”, which explain what I would like to tell throughout Sashiko. I won’t be able to translate what I wrote into English well, so I will write another blog with this topic. The…

I learned that the “teaching” requires very specific skill set. Teaching requires skill. Learning also requires skill. One important quality of a good teacher is an ability to see the participants “Learning Skill (or Condition)”. We all have different expectations, preferences, and understandings in learning. In today’s society, “just telling…

To see a World in a Gran of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
    And Eternity in an hour.
    William Brake “Auguries of Innocence”
