It was such a wonderful year of 2018 with many Sashiko workshop. This is the end of all the workshop scheduled for 2018. I had so much fun with participants. I also learned so much from them. Our goal is to share what Sashiko is, and it includes supporting those who enjoy Sashiko continuously. “Making Atsushi the artist” is good but “Making Atsushi’s friends the artists” would probably achieve our goal better.

I hope to continue Sashiko workshop in 2019 as well. Since I would like to focus on creating the Sashiko items and such, I plan to do less workshop in 2019. なんだかんだで名残惜しいですが、これにて今年のワークショップのお仕事は完了です。
楽しい時間を沢山頂きました。沢山のお喜びの声を頂きました。同時に、沢山の課題を感じました。あくまで目標は刺し子を広めること。そこには、縁を頂いた方で、刺し子に本気になれる方には、精一杯のサポートをしていくことも含まれます。一人じゃ限界があるからね。一過性のブームで燃えきらないように。明日からは日常に戻りつつ、ひとつずつ山になっているすべきことを形にしていけたらと思っています。
