The new Denim Project, “Patchworked Sashiko Denim” is 80% done. Well, at least, it gets back to the shape of the pants. ☆
I started this project without any plans. So, I didn’t even measure the length of swatch and didn’t number the parts. Next time, I will work on with more plans precisely. But hey, it looks “interesting”.
☆

Hitomezashi (一目刺し) can be roughly translated to “One Stitch Sashiko” – we use the same posture & concept of running stitch there, yet it focuses on the outcome of stitches size determined by Grid we determine even before stitching. The Sashiko I often practice over the camera has very little…

Any chance we can see the back side of the stitching?
Q: When doing ふきん, do we just leave the back stitches exposed? And do people really use it as ふきん (after putting all that time into it)? 😯
