Well, although I don’t have a pair of denim with a hole to mend as of now, it isn’t good enough reason to stop enjoying Sashiko on the Denim. My firned gave me a denim which she will no longer wear. Initially, I was thinking to use it as the denim fabric (swatch) to patch something. Now, I am thinking to cut, do Sashiko, then put together. It isn’t easy to cut the vintage fabric… I respectfully proceed this project as if I am doing a Surgical operation on this denim. Just to bring the denim back to the world again.

穴の空いたジーンズはないけれど、「もう履かないから」と頂いたジーンズはあって。必要に応じてパッチ用に切って使おうかとも思っていたのですが、清水の舞台から飛び降りるつもりで、外科の手術をするつもりでハサミをいれました。そんなわけで、また新しい刺し子プロジェクトの開始です。
