So called “Twin Jacket” of the previous Jacket I had introduced. These 2 jackets are made from the several kinds of same vintage fabrics. The vintage fabric Keiko couldn’t just put it in a drawer. She had to do Sashiko & bring back to the main stage as “cloth”. Reversible. A lot of “Boro to be fabric” and of course, Katazome crane on the front and Sashiko Crane inside of the Jacket. ★
先日ご紹介したジャケットの「双子作品」。同じ数種類の古布から生まれた作品です。恵子さんも、刺し子から少し離れた時期がありました。その時に手にして、そのまま引き出しにしまっておけなかった布です。「もう一度、世に出してやるからな」。恵子さんの刺し子の原点であり、私達の根本的な願いです。「何度も舞台に立てる」「丁寧に作られたものに、不要なものなんてない」そんなメッセージを感じて頂ける作品となっていれば嬉しいです。
