Another Boro item from Keiko’s Workshop graduate. Beautiful. The workshop is rather “doing together” than “teaching,” but we are happy in providing the very unique and exclusive workshop. 本質 (HonShitsu) is another Japanese word I am trying to convey the message with in English. 本質 can be translated “Essence”, “(True) Nature”, and “Heart of the matter”. In my interpretation in Sashiko, I use the word “HonShitsu” when I describe “What it really is/was”. So, what is Sashiko’s “Honshitsu”?…
