Thank you for your reactions to the series of our Sashiko Jackets and Boros. We still have a lot to share, but this is a photo of “off-stage” of photo shooting. Students/artists from FIT in NYC helped us to take these beautiful photos. Thanks to @arielle073 and @theanne. I am so happy to see you and Keiko (my mother) to smile like this photo. Sashiko and Boro can overcome the difference. They share the happiness by stitching. IT IS as beautiful as the result.
一連の恵子の作品に、コメントやいいねの反応、ありがとうございます!まだまだ続くのですが、少し休憩。写真撮影の裏側には、FIT in NYCの学生がワークショップに訪れて下さったことがあります。この笑顔。嬉しいです。

Last few months, I have been receiving emotional comments from “Japanese” people. Some actually practice Sashiko. The others come to me to “study” Sashiko for their related field. Their words are very frank (as it is toward me directly). Their straight words indirectly accuse me of saying “Well, it is…

Among many designs for Sashiko, one of my favorite is “Kamon – Japanese Family Crest.” The photo called “Take ni Suzume – Banboo and sparrow” is the Kamon for Samurai general, Date Masamune, who is a well-known one of the most fashionable Samurai in its history. While Samurais were around,…
