The back side of the patch I made on a pair of jeans. I didn’t expect the fabric gets torn before the actual jeans. Repeating the mending process… and people call it now Boro.

For Shippou (七宝), the character means Seven Treasure, which I believe they prayed for the wealth for their family back in Japan….

I guess I am angry at the “easiness” of those who think they know “Sashiko”. As I have been saying, I am quite open to the Cultural Appropriation in Sashiko. Anyone can call their stitching Sashiko when they try to respect the Japanese culture behind it. Here, keyword is “respect”….
