本質 (HonShitsu) is another Japanese word I am trying to convey the message with in English. 本質 can be translated “Essence”, “(True) Nature”, and “Heart of the matter”. In my interpretation in Sashiko, I use the word “HonShitsu” when I describe “What it really is/was”. So, what is Sashiko’s “Honshitsu”?…
