When I do Sashiko at night, I remember my father who passed away. While I work on the PC, he moved his needle after all of daily routine work. —
Heart Sutra Sashiko is one of the works he was working on, and a very few of these that I have photographs on. It isn’t like we had the perfect father-son relationship, but I miss him very much. — 一人の夜は刺し子が可能です。後片付けも寝かしつけも必要ないので、夜、ほんの少しだけど刺し子。「夜の刺し子」は実はずっと避けていました。亡くなった父親を思い出してしまうからです。定時で従業員さんが帰られた後、僕はパソコンに向かい、親父は刺し子針を持つ時間が度々ありました。

冗談かと思い、笑っていましたが、今考えると形にしてあげたかったなぁと思うのです。悔やまれるのは、親父の作品の写真が極力少ないこと。ずーっと、この般若心経には向かってました。僕がまだ般若心経を刺せない理由の一つです。写真は既出ですが、もう一度。 —
