Boro.
We “Make” Boro piece by patching and repairing the small Japanese vintage fabric, which can be in a trash bin because they are too small. The vintage fabric gets so small after washing them. We sometimes call it “fresh Boro” since it doesn’t smell or dirty
★
There are many explanation made by experts why the Boro piece, which means a piece of badly torn yet repaired fabric, is so beautiful. We believe a Boro piece is so beautiful because it is the result of caring the others. Not only the positive feeling of Love, a person probably cared the others by negative feelings. All of the feelings can be layered and stitched into the fabric. Therefore, it is beautiful.
★
We try to create the similar piece of Boro by layering our passions and hopes.
★
★
Sashi.
