I learned that there are a few seats available for the “In-Person Sashiko Workshop” in Auburn, NY @schweinfurthart (Schweinfurth Art Center). This is 3-Days Sashiko Workshop starting with [Core & Essence] developing to [Application & Practice]. If I were to explain with analogy, [Core & Essence] is a day to teach them how to ride a bicycle. [Application & Practice] are days to go to the “Bike Park” to enjoy many attractions. In these 3 days, one can learn the full process of our Ssahiko – from scratch to the point right before “completing” (I don’t teach how to make a bag or a Jacket with a sewing machine). Please check the link on the profile for the registration. Or you can type up their URL – https://schweinfurthartcenter.org/inspire_events/sashiko-core-essence/

I am so happy that more than 10,000 people took my Sashiko Introductory Course on Domestika. I receive a lot of positive feedback that they enjoy it a lot. Link for the Online Domestika Course is available from the profile, or on Story.

I am preparing for the article explaining the difference between the one In-Person and one on Domestika. Please be advised that the course on Domestika is “Introductory”, and I had to go over the points due to the limited amount of time & the way Domestika can deliver the contents. In-Person Sashiko Workshop & Online Class (Core & Essence) is an opportunity for me to “make sure” that you can do it by sharing all the possible things I can think of. It will be a very intensive 3 days of Sashiko stitching, but I believe there will be a lot of learning after the Domestika Course. I hope to meet you & get to know you in-person, and immerse ourselves in to the sashiko Stitching
☆
[Follow-Up Note] *Unlike the Domestika Course, the official Online Class & In-Person Sashiko Workshop are costly. This is because I would need to make a living, and I will spend as much time as possible for you – as an individual. If the budget is tight, please keep watching my Youtube Videos. I share a lot of ideas there as well.

娘の学校も始まり、私自身も仕事をしなければ…とようやく重い腰が少しだけですが上がりつつあります(笑)。こちらのアカウントで私のワークショップ等の宣伝告知が増えると思いますが、ご容赦頂けましたら幸いです。

On this Sunday (Jan.24th), the offer of “Sashiko Fukubukuro” will end. In 2021, I am building a designated website for the customers who purchased the Fukubukuro – especially for those who have never tried our Sashiko thread, needle, and other materials. ☆ As you may know, all of the information…

One of the most popular Sashiko Thread among our store… yet, it is limited so I do not always carry: The beautiful Indigo Dye, and “uneven/variegated/gradient” Sashiko thread. The origin of this thread was “by accident”. I used this thread in one Live Streaming as the “second rate” Sashiko thread….

[Sashiko Thread Matters]. Some say that they can use any threads for Sashiko, and it doesn’t matter. Although it is true that they can use any threads for Sashiko, Thread Does Really Matter in Sashiko. It isn’t just thickness. It isn’t just materials. It is the layers of stories why…
