[Upcycle Stitches] is a single person company, and as @SashikoStory has been describing I am taking more time in Stitching this summer. I don’t do much “advertisement” and “promotion campaigns”… and this year is even less than usual. However, the Sashiko Store by Upcycle Stitches is open, and it is my pleasure to fulfill your need & interest in Sashiko. I make a shipment within a day or so, and I will be taking care of the order myself – for me, it is important to know whom I pass down not only the culture, but the supply & materials.

Well. As I focus on stitching more, I would need to think about how to make our activity somewhat “sustainable”. A business is quite honest, and the amount of time I spend on introducing (advertising, making promotional campaigns, introducing new items) co-relate to the revenue in proportion. In order to keep my ends meet, I am thinking of starting to start offering some of my collections including my own stitching items as well as our Sashiko items stitched by experienced Sashiko Artisans. If you are interested in having some of our Sashiko items, please follow this account. As we hand-stitch, everything is “One-of-a-kind”. As much as I like myself being a “collector”, it is probably a time for me to release – to achieve a bigger goal.

この夏は、針目と向き合う時間を取るようにしています。其の為、ビジネス的なことはほとんど前に進めていないのですが、あまり放置してしまうと前に進む糧すらなくなってしまうので、少しずつではありますが進めていこうと思っています。自分と向き合う刺し子の時間と、その刺し子の時間を確保するためのお仕事の時間。バランスとは難しいものです。
