You may already know this wisdom. I have shared the “Full Length” Tutorial on my Youtube Channel available to anyone (on 9/21/2020 – https://youtu.be/ekKoGmr2Ap0). I used my thread up in today’s Live Streaming & I remember a comment saying it took few hours to untangle the thread. I am here sharing a quick video of me preparing the thread for tomorrow’s Sashiko.

☆

There are reasons why we call it “Sashiko Thread”. The Thread Matters. Sashiko became popular and many manufacturers now offer Sashiko Thread, but our Sashiko thread requires a bit of extra tip to keep them in a good shape. It isn’t difficult at all. It is just a matter of knowing it or not. (If you are about to unskein the thread, please check the full video above).

I was very fortuned to come across with this vintage Book about Kimono. It is one of my big journey to learn how the Japanese enjoy “cloth” which differ us from wild animal. Interesting. 2017-11-18 04:04:12 Source

As you may know, I set a limit on the number of workshops I offer every year. It is my sincere pleasure to be invited to many places & I wish I could go… but I prioritize being a “Sashiko Practitioner” rather than being a “Sashiko Teacher”. There are tons…
