Sashiko is more than just a stitching technique. By learning the Core & Essence of Sashiko, you will realize how “more enjoyable” Sashiko can be. The Online Sashiko Class for 2021 is still available, and we have several In-Person workshop toward 2022. Please learn from us. That’s who we can respect the cultural perspective of this ordinary practice of Sashiko stitching.

福袋の準備が終わり、ようやく気を落ち着けて様々な宣伝ができるようになりました。刺し子は「技術」が大切ですが、ただ、技術だけでは成立しなかったりします。何時間、何十時間、何百時間と針と布と向き合う針仕事(針作業)です。心意気……と書くと大袈裟ですが、良い意味でも悪い意味でも念は入っていくんだろうと思います。だからこそ、日本の刺し子として広めていきたいんでしょうね。

刺し子の運針に興味が有る方は、是非私達から学んで頂けたら嬉しいです。きっと何か新しい発見があるはずです。高校時代に演奏した「バレエ音楽:青銅の騎士」に乗せて、ちょっとだけ運針動画です。
