It is an honor to be included to the talk-event offered by @SelvedgeMagazine

Japanese Textiles

(I didn’t know “PechaKucha” was such a famous word in English.)

It was challenging to summarize our Sashiko into 20 slides in 20 seconds each… but, I believe I could condense the essence of what we do. 400 seconds of our Sashiko. More importantly, check the list of speakers… what a line up & it is what Selvedge Magazine can do with their credential. It is a sincere honor (a bit nervous) to be a speaker with these well-known teachers/sensei.

Date: Saturday, March 20th, 2021.

Registration Page.

I admire the confidence. Celebrating one’s own achievement (ability) is very important. However, the Japanese are not good at complimenting themselves. They sometimes are (too) humble (to extend it is “rude”.) It is essential to understand how Japanese culture is different when you enjoy the Sashiko. ☆ Let me share…

I really enjoy your work of art. Very beautiful and showing dedication of meticulous, tedious and careful work. May I repost some of those to my Instagram? Sources and captions won’t change. I am not selling anything, just wanna share with my circle about this Japanese fabric tradition with my closest circle (my account is private).
