[Announcement]  (1) I restored the Youtube video of yesterday’s live streaming. I talk about “Sustainability and Sashiko”. I rewatched it and found it interesting (although it was my talking…). Check it out. (2) I appreciate all the Sashiko supply orders. Under Covid-19, in order to complete the international shipping, all the package requires the phone number. If you haven’t received a package/update, please check your email box since I have sent several requests. As of Sep.7, due to several cases, your phone number is required on all the orders. I am aware that some do not feel comfortable to provide phone number. I will be careful & the website is SSL certified. Thank you for your understanding.

In re-watching yesterday’s talk, I realized that I may have made a quite strong statement (based on my assumption) – Sashiko (刺し子)’s translation may not be “Little Stubs” after all. I also introduced some stories to support my assumption. Well, if I am going to challenge common sense from my personal logic, then I want the audience to know who I am. I am not that comfortable to show my face on screen, but I will do my best to share “Who is Atsushi” with visuals.

I am in FL for 3-days long Sashiko workshop – and it is my first time to offer the 3-days long. Once I thought 3 days may be too long to “fulfill”. However, after completing the 2nd day, I realize I have enough messages to share for 3 days. I…

Many wonder… “What is the difference between Sashiko & other Stitchery?”. My answer is simple: “There is no difference in Stitchery”. Needlework exists(ed) everywhere. I am pretty sure that your ancestor stitched for their survival at some point. Your stitchery probably had a name, but gone over time. My stitchery…

Rhythm! Yes, it is rhythm. Thank you for many insightful comments in the post on 10/28. Yes, it is the “Rhythm”. Therefore, I have been sharing the importance of rhythm (rhythmical stitching) since I started sharing Sashiko in English. Check the video 3 days ago. The video shows the rhythm…

Glad to see you after reading a lot of what you write. Thank you for daring to show yourself. Sometimes you are angry but I see from the picture that it’s not all the time. You have a nice face.
