I hope you are staying home & stitching.

After a careful consideration, I decided to offer a “gift card” on our website. For a type of our small business – to introduce Japanese culture/craft outside of Japan, the suspension of some International Shipping by Japan Post was shocking news. Although I am working on finding a new way to make an international shipment, it will be challenging to manage a business with limited inventory. When the inventory gets extremely low, I need to consider closing an Online Store temporary. It is what is going on everywhere – and at the same time, I would like to do everything I can to continue our business toward the “New Ordinary”.
☆
It is not a donation – more like a prepaid for our sincere service. We are a small, family owned business. In fact, it is just my mother and myself. My wife is not in this business at all. Since it is so small, we can do a lot of things manually. It is my pleasure to assist your Sashiko learning & I am here all the time for those who are willing to learn from us.
☆
I sincerely appreciate your support in this challenging time. We believe “a culture” is something we “choose” to pass down. Enjoy Sashiko. ☆

Sashiko Kinchaku – a Japanese style drawstring bag. We are a group of Sashiko artisans after all, both @Sashi.Co and Upcycle Stitches. We pay our bills by offering Sashiko supplies, but we cannot stop crafting. That’s how we define us as Sashiko artisans instead of “Sashiko Dealers”. It is easy…

I introduced a Sashiko stitched fabric facemask @Sashi.Co a couple of weeks ago. I appreciate many reactions & inquiries for the availability of the Sashiko facemask. I do not plan to sell the Sashiko facemask for now. Instead, I made a kit for YOU to make the Sashiko mask. I…
