Things are getting more challenging (in the form of “business”). I make myself a rule to post one Sashiko photo with a personal insight about Sashiko @Sashi.Co for the thing I can offer in this crisis. This account, UpcycleStitches, is for the business perspective of the Sashiko I practice.
☆
Today, Japan Post announced Suspension of International Mail Service to the United States starting on 4/24, until further notice, due to the overload packages to the fewer flights between nations. The suspension itself to other countries has been a big challenge for my mother’s business in Japan, and now, it will affect me as Upcycle Stitches significantly. There is, of course, the alternative solution. However, due to limited resources, this may cause a delay/low-in stock situation. ☆
When I need to restock the supplies, I would probably need to apply the new pricing. I am not going to adjust the price until the next shipment from Japan. However, please understand that the new pricing may be applied & the out-of-stock condition may last for a long time. It could happen without any advance notice (I will try my best to update here.)
☆
I am not asking for a panic buy. However, because of our item’s character (most of them are handmade), I do not carry so many items in stock. As you know, I rarely offer the sale campaign because I believe I offer the best price as default. So, if you know you have threads/tools you would like to get for the Stay-Home period, please do not wait for later – the stock is quite limited. I apologize, in advance, if there are errors on my end, which may result in canceling the order (I will return the money if the transaction is not complete, of course). ☆
The logistics will come back. They have to come back. Until then, I will do what I can do. Thank you very much for your support in this difficult time. I will try my best to be your Sashiko assistant. ☆
