Upcycle Stitches is a single-member LLC – which means, I (Atsushi) am the only one in the operation, with helping my mother Keiko @Sashi.Co in Japan. I try my best to be competitive with other big companies. Please let me know if there is anything I can improve. A better interface, a fancy website, more variety of items (with speedy update). I am here to learn so that we can share the Sashiko more.

Sashiko has been interpreted in many interesting ways. One of the interpretations is “Recycle” and use whatever we have. It is a true statement. However, we have “wisdom” to make fabric last longer by using a specific supply and technique. Using “whatever” may end up “detouring” – which may lead to waste. It is up to a stitcher to choose, of course. I just wanted to mention here that your choice of purchasing from us (me) equals to the choice of supporting the Sashiko culture we share – and will make your Sashiko stitching more Japanese. I believe the pricing is fair and competitive (most of our thread is 145 meters long – It is a big skein), and I will support your Sashiko when you purchase items from our website. I am not just a seller, I am an actual stitcher who decided to sell items to make a living. ☆
Thank you very much for your support!!

I am using this beautiful thread for a project I am working on. The aliveness, richness and softness makes every stitch more pleasurable. I have turned away from painting with acrylic because of the plastic and have found what I need with your thread. Love!

I just ordered some thread from you! I’m so excited! But I noticed that you don’t sell the thimble alone, I already have the tulip needles, I just need a thimble. How can I add just a thimble to my order?
