The Japaneseness. It is one of the core I would like to share with Sashiko. Japan is a quite unique country. Japanese feel comfortable within – they do not feel the necessity to go abroad to get “better”. Statistics show that the number of Japanese students studying in the US is decreasing. Why? Are they lazy? No. We respect boundaries (in both good and bad ways).

The more I talk about Sashiko, the more people share their appreciation in me sharing what I know. So far, the Japanese didn’t have both the ability and ambition to express what Sashiko is in English… so here I am. Again, I do welcome the alternation in culture, interpretation of art. You do what you want to do. However, it doesn’t mean that I should be quiet and smiling (as many of the Japanese would do). I am in the process of summarizing my messages.
