[Be careful with the sound] – the whole video is available on SashiCo Youtube Channel.

I am not saying “Everyone needs to do Sashiko the way we do” or “Sashiko wihtout thimble is Wrong”. Over 3 years of teaching experience in Sashiko (to more than 200 people), I know how people enjoy Sashiko after learning the basic and core. I just don’t like the discussion as if they know about Sashiko without even trying to use the thimble or enjoy the running (rhythmical) stitching. I am here to learn. As many of my followers know, if they don’t mind spending a lot of time, a lot of tutorials are provided for free. If they would like to receive the core efficiently, I offer the workshop online & in-person. It is so easy to learn now, and I do not know why they don’t try. ☆
The video is for “What you can learn in the workshop”. We will offer one in November, in TriBeCa NYC and online when there is a seat available. Check the details from the link or @upcyclestitches

“How can I reach the summit? I want to see the view from the top of the mountain you introduce”. Well. I can show some photos or videos of the view from the summit. One can probably use a helicopter to get to the summit without climbing. Even when they…

I received a comment summarizing my situation well. It is an unfortunate misunderstanding based on cultural differences. Since I often receive similar criticism (usually not nicely summarized like this, but with more anger), here is clarification. ☆ The Comment is: ““If I were to practice Sashiko techniques as a non-Japanese,…

Your skills are amazing. I have just begun learning how to do this. I have my thimble and my needle and am giving it a go. It will take a lot of practice. But I think if I am going to attempt something, I should learn to do it as well as I can, so I am here to be patient. I love learning a new skill like this and look forward to my wonky stitches as slow technique improving as I practice more. Your videos really help me as they show me what I am aiming for.

I have never been able to feel right with a thimble and I have tried many kinds. So I don’t use one and I have very calloused fingers.
