There is a lot of definitions of the word “Work.” I personally believe “work” is “to leave something behind (hand-down to)”. It is important to make profit to keep it sustainable. We all need it to maintain our life. At the same time, I want to remember that our activities are supported by Goodwill by the others. ☆
We are here now because of many supporters who understood us. I often say, “I don’t know how I can pay you back.” Interestingly, all of them told (taught) me, “Don’t worry. Do it to the others.” We are truly lucky to have met these people. Keiko and I are only a part of this beautiful sustainable circle, “Caring others”. I believe in us, the possibility of human being caring others and enjoying the process.

その昔。今よりももっと面倒くさかった頃。一般的に使われる、つまりは「暗黙の了解」が存在する言葉に、自分なりの定義付けをしまくった日々がありました。恥ずかしい定義が多い中、「仕事」の定義は今もあまり変わっていません。「仕事＝残すこと」だと思っています。刺し子の作品を残す。循環する流れ（お金）を残す。（他愛のないものも含めた）物語を残す。残すことは、つまりは未来へ繋げることだと思っています。どんなことも残せる世の中、やっぱり良いこと（人間らしいこと）を残していきたいじゃないですか。

沢山のご恩を頂いて生きてきました。「いつかこの恩はお返しします」という言葉に、多くの方が、「（私達は困ってないから）他の困っている人に返してあげて」と伝えて（教えて）くれました。僕たちもそんな人になりたいと思って毎日を繋いでいますし。そんな、「誰かのことを気にかけることができる日々」が、実は幸せの第一条件だと気がついた数年前に、今の刺し子を再開しました。繋ぐ刺し子を今後も続けていけたらと思うのです。
