Ever since I decided not to fear how the others will judge me, expressing (sharing) what I know & believe have became so much easier. So, the Instagram became like a blog platform.

I have a pile of things to do as well… yet I choose sharing the stories. Your comments make me feel so credited. Anyway, I gotta work too. I will re-start sharing more stories after the Sashiko Stitching Workshop in NYC. We have a few seats left on 4/14, and possibly one seat on 4/13.
☆
We have some items to be listed on website for sales. It is another important activity to support the artisans (& myself) for our days. This kinchaku drawstring bag should be available sometimes in this week @upcyclestitches .

I shared a process of cutting thread, so called “Itokiri”, in the live-streaming today. Sashiko is a form of stitching, but the Itokiri is also very important part of the Sashiko project, especially when we try to make both side as the finished side. ☆ I uploaded a video introducing…

I am leaving to NYC for the 2 workshops. One on Friday night at Japan Society (@japansociety_nyc) for the very introductory workshop & one on Saturday for a full-day-length of Sashiko Stitching Experience at Tatter Blue Library (@tatterbluelibrary). I was informed that there are one or two spots available at…

The video is Sashiko rhythmical stitching by @small.sashiko.atelier, after joining Atsushi’ Sashiko Workshop (in Japanese). Only 6 months of practice make this happen. Based on a long history & experience, we arrange the “teaching style” so anyone can enjoy the Sashiko stitching with the thimble. No need to spend years…
