The “Grandma Pincushion” that I introduced 2 months ago. This is the final place

atsushijp, 2019年3月2日

The “Grandma Pincushion” that I introduced 2 months ago. This is the final place where the smallest swatches go. We only make when we have enough swatches (or piece of fabric) so it takes months or even years to make many. We prioritize this concept of “Not wasting any fabric” over customer’s request… and I hope we have your understanding for that. It takes a long time, but I will deliver it to you eventually. As long as we keep Sashiko, we will have the smallest swatches. ☆
3 of them are ready for the International market. If you left the comment in the previous post, please check the “mention” from me and send me an email. Once it is ready for sale, I will let you know by mentioning your name in the comment by the order of comments. After a day or so, if I don’t hear from him/her, I will pass it to the next person on the list. ☆
If you would like one (& have not left the comment in the previous post), please leave the comment here. I will let you know when the item is ready accordingly.
☆

In 2014, I immigrated to the US where my wife had her profession. Then, we learned that we received a daughter. Then, Keiko asked me if I could help her to “restart” everything she had loved. In 2015, when I met my daughter for the first time, I made my…

Another weekend of pounder about Cultural Appropriation (this time, no anger). ☆ Not knowing is okay. However, we cannot do “un-know (rewind before knowing)” things. So… once they know that Sashiko/Boro is not a term for their trend, I want them to spend some time learning – instead of ignoring…

Thank you so much for your comment. I will let you know in the order you left the comment. We will not be able to make one quickly, but we will make it happen. We also ship internationally. As long as you live in the country where Japan post make a delivery, we will make a shipment.
I summarized the concept of this pincushion, including the reason why it is taking so long to make it. I really appreciate your understanding for our concept 😀
