We finally completed the online listing for the Kakishibu, Persimmon Tannin, dye

atsushijp, 2019年2月3日

We finally completed the online listing for the Kakishibu, Persimmon Tannin, dyed Sashiko thread, in which we completed at the end of 2018. Kakishibu is very difficult to dye with because the colors get affected by the UV light, humidity and tempreture. Therefore, although everytime we don’t get the same color, we feel like we are opening a present on the holiday. The thread is available on our website, upcyclestitches.com or @upcyclestitches, and we ship internationally (the package may be shipped from Japan). I hope you will find the color for you.

[Please mute the sound since BGM isn’t somehow working. I am sorry. Umm.] ☆☆☆ (Main Caption ↓) The word, “Sashiko (and Boro)”, is quite simplified and romanticized in translation – some intentionally, and then majority unintentionally, to mold “it” into something comfortable & convenient in Western Culture. Sashiko and Boro…

Sashiko Live Streaming Friday. I do Sashiko stitching on this Japanese vintage epron ONLY when I am on Live Streaming. It makes me happy to see the progress. I feel that the listners (viewers) are the part of this Sashiko work. 2018-01-05 16:38:53 Source
