Completed the brief Online workshop in Japanease. It is my goal to develop the one in English sometime in 2019. In comparison to the workshop on site, Online workshop makes me so nervous and scared. I am preparing all of the materials and repeat practicing, therefore, it is taking so long time.
☆
If you can make a trip to NYC or Central PA (17837), it would be easier and faster to learn Sashiko from me. If you prefer online, please bear with me a bit more. I haven’t given up, and working over and over again. More information for the workshop can be found on UpcycleStitches.com
☆
Sashiko isn’t all about making “one good stitch”, and we introduce Sashiko as the “process of appreciating the fabric with your own rhythm”. One day, when my daughter is old enough, I would like to visit all of the cities you live in and offer the workshop and meet you in person! ☆

I wish I could simplify my stories into a word. Then, I can probably “market” the Sashiko better. However, “marketing“ isn’t my goal. I share the significance of Sashiko – which is not yet introduced in English. A series of stories going on and on. ☆ “Marketing” is sophisticated human-behavior…

Thank you for all the comments & suggestions to the previous post. I apologize for not replying to each, but I read them carefully & learned something from them. When I try to “name” what my anger toward, it can be “Cultural Arrogance”, “Cultural Eraser”, “English Language as Colonizer”… and…

This is a writing with the intention of self-discipline. ☆ The words completes when the actions come along. “I am appreciate…“ may be meaningless by just saying it. In Zen’s teaching, they say “The truth cannot be explained by words.” Another reason we would like to share the Sashiko as…

Keep persisting. You have a much bigger reach than just North America. Your online workshops would help those who live all over the world, including Fremantle Western Australia

@houladoula Thank you. The biggest challenge now is that I am also a homemaker, (pre-stay-at-home father). So the time is very limited and establishing a workshop is like a writing a book. I will make it happen regardless. Thank you for waiting for that.
