I found a photo of our “Boro-inspired Fabric” on SNS from someone I didn’t know. It was a surprize but the person was nice that he added the credit to us on the post.

Google will bring you anything if you ask. It is our creators responsiblity to explain the copyright, but it would be nice to have the society where everyone care “who made it.”

We are happy if you decide to use the photos of our Sashiko & Boro items, but please try to credit us on anywhere or let us know. SNS makes it so easy to share. I would like you to share. I just would like to respect all the creators who spend tremendous time on the project.

I used to be (accidentally) “involved” in discussions about “What is Sashiko” in English. When discomfort happens, some often said: “My understanding of Sashiko is correct because I have so many Japanese friends”. Well… Where to start…? The number of friends does not define their understanding of the culture. A…

People live today as if tomorrow will come no matter what, and I believe they should. However, because of my unique experience, I don’t share the same “ordinary”. I live as if tomorrow will not come, and I feel a lot natural with that. It isn’t a matter of good…

Sashiko is a form of hand-stitching (=process), and the Boro is an ultimate result of repeating Sashiko. The definition of each words, Sashiko and Boro, can be wide-interpreted, but Sashiko and Boro are not equal. In the Japanese language, Sashiko can be a verb, but Boro doesn’t work as the…
