At the end of 2018, in the middle of Christmas season, I am in a process of writing on the big theme, “Is Sashiko Art?” in Japanese. I will translate what I write after I publish it in Japanese, but hey, I have so much to write about.
☆
The photo is the “Boro to be” fabric. It isn’t quite Boro yet, but once we stitch and use them in our days, it will be Boro. At least, we intend to make it a Boro. Regardless, whatever the definition of terms is, what we want to share is the same and simple. Enjoy Sashiko & Appreciate the fabric. ☆

Autumn is always my favorite season: when I used to smoke (in College far away from home), the mixture of purple smoke from cigarettes & fresh cold air in the autumn morning brought me nostalgia. I wish I could enjoy this “not so cold yet fresh enough” autumn a bit…

There are quite many Japanese words that require a whole essay to explain what it really means. For example, 諸先輩方 (Shosenpaigata) is the word I often use in the Japanese context, but cannot use it in English because the language doesn’t have the exact same meaning. In order to explain…
