The Sashiko Hitomezashi jacket in the natural sunlight will give us the best opportunity to take a good photo. All hand-stitched, yet it looks like a printed Jacket from far. What makes difference? Because of its all stitched, the more time passes, the color & stitches alter a bit, everytime she/he uses it.

Until the finish, it is a dialog between the artisan and the fabric. After the jacket is completed, it is a dialog between the person who wears it and the jacket itselt. When we know that fabric talks, we care a bit more. At least, that’s what I believe. ☆
刺し子のジャケット、自然光の中での着画はやっぱり素敵です。勿論手刺し。でも、遠目からは、まるで印刷されたかのような模様。手仕事が故、使えば使うほど、色合いも模様も少しずつ変化してきます。完成するまでは作り手と布の会話。完成してからは着て下さる方と布との会話。布との会話ができると、少し優しくなれる気がするのです。

@ ma.sashikogin ありがとうございます。母親（恵子さん）と、その友達とで楽しんで刺し子をして形になるジャケットです。有り難いお話です。文化人形のお写真拝見しました。私達も数年前に刺し子文化人形（通称さしこちゃん）を作りました。また作れたら良いなぁと思っています。
