The end of fiscal year, and it means the time for Inventory. We are a very small business, but still, the Inventory doing by myself is challenging. To add a bit of fun, we will take photos for each big Sashiko pieces. Expect many photos coming through the new year of 2019 😀

Boro. The product of communicating to the fabric. They “can” make Boro pieces without hand-stitching. However, the big difference is that the machine stitching doesn’t talk to the fabric as much as in hand-stitching. It is ongoing Boro, by me wearing it and mending it. Alive, and Fresh Boro. ☆
年末 – 期間末 – 棚卸しの時期でございます。会社員時代と比べれば、ほんの少しの在庫ではあるのだけど、でも、一人での棚卸しはほーんっと大変。あふぅ。

少しでも棚卸しを楽しみにする為に、保管棚に残っている作品を一つずつ写真に撮ることに。これも時間がある贅沢です。

襤褸。一針ごとの布との対話でもあります。「機械ではできないこと」は、この対話なんだろうなと思うのです。やっぱり綺麗だし、なんか生きてる気がするんですよね。
