Have you ever heard “Sumi Collection”? Ms. Sumi collect beautiful Japanese work

atsushijp, 2018年10月23日

Have you ever heard “Sumi Collection”? Ms. Sumi collect beautiful Japanese work coats, Happi and Hanten, and created the collection, which is published as the JP/EN bilingal book. ☆
Keiko, as a Sashiko artist (who can re-make Boro), has been hanging out with Ms. Sumi… When I heard that Keiko became a friend of her, I couldn’t say a word. What a fortune and honor it is. The authentic Boro & Kofu collecter meats Sashiko artists who loves Boro. It is a miracle!
☆
I am looking for an opportunity or organization to “pass down” this collection, which Ms.Sumi reserves now. If you know any good organization (or an individual) who can help me out, please let me know. We would like to keep this collection as is, not piece by piece. ☆

Another great photo from the Sashiko Workshop in NYC. It is my pleasure to share my expertise and introduce what Sashiko is to the world! Wait for some blog updates. I want to write a lot about Sashiko. 2017-06-30 15:49:53 Source

This Poncho as an item had sold a couple of years ago… but I wanted to share how we put hand-stitched fabrics together to make the poncho/jacket. It is Keiko’s ability to patchwork these beautiful fabric nicely, as if the fabrics communicate (enjoy talking) each other. ★ All hand-stitched with…
