I did Sashiko mending on my favorite (more than 10 years old) vegan (leather?) bag handle. I often start the mending project without creating the precise plan… more like I start then adjust them one by one. However, it doesn’t mean that I do not have the final image I would like to make. It is the experience in Sashiko & Mending, I would say. I will continue this bag mending on Youtube Live Streaming at 9 pm on Wednesday in English. ☆
「何しようかなぁ」と始まる刺し子のプロジェクト。行き当たりばったりが基本ではあるのですが、同時に全くの無計画でもないのです。「始める前」に一応のイメージは頭に浮かんでいて、そこまでの過程が行き当たりばったりというだけで。このイメージが、やっぱり刺し子業の中で過ごしてきた財産かなぁと思うのです。そのイメージに事前準備なしで辿り着けるようになったら、ひとつの完成形かなあとは思うのです。
