Enjoy stitching on Friday night in NYC with a graduate who took my workshop before. She was technically a student, but now, she is a great Sashiko friend. I would like to keep it that way. Everyone can be friends over Sashiko stitching :D. I believe that is how Sashiko was developed.

以前にワークショップに参加下さった方と、一緒に刺し子。もうね、こういう時間が最高に嬉しいのです。僕が先生出会った以上、「生徒」であることは間違いないのだけど、同時にやっぱり友達感覚になるのです。堅苦しい形式がない刺し子だからこその関係。半年もすれば、みんな横並びです。それでいいし、寧ろそれがいい。
