Getting ready for big day tomorrow. Looking at my (Boro-Became & Need Repair) Wallet and Kinchaku Bag. They have been always with me when I do the workshop. ★
Sashiko is a form of simple stitches. However, authentic Boro is the beauty only the time can create by using it repeatedly with caring over and over again. What I do is not as significant as the Japanese in the 18 century, but I hope we adovocate some of the feeling they were carrying.

明日の本番に備えて、最後の準備＆練習。持ち物の再確認で、ふと、今までずーっと苦楽を共にしてきている財布と巾着をみて、少しジーンときて。（普段は財布持ち歩かなくて）。

2008年に刺し子を仕事として捉えた時、様々な刺し子の考え方をひたすら言語化しました。「時が刻む美しさと、時を一緒に刻む刺し子」的な表現をしたことを覚えているのですが、糸と布と、そして愛着を持って使い続ける「時間」が刺し子の大切な要素の一つだと思うのです。その究極系がボロですしね。明日も、技術だけじゃなくて、そんなんも伝えられたらいいなぁと。技術教えるよりよっぽど難しい。でも、だからこそ僕達じゃないといけない。
